Despite the encouraging build up, Ashton have experienced a disappointing start to the season losing in the cup and the first 2 fixtures of the league campaign.

In an attempt to improve the current situation club secretary Stuart Hames has decided to look for a new manager to bring some fresh ideas and a new approach to on field matters. The feeling is that this can only be a good thing for the club and to do so at the earliest opportunity would be the best scenario for all concerned.

The club is asking anybody who is interested or wants more information to contact Stuart Hames.

In the period it takes to fill the position Stuart will continue to oversee training and assist in match day selection along with Mike Tattersall.
